In Quarantine

What Will I Do When This Is Over?

I was asked friends what I planned to do when this quarantine was finally lifted. Of course, the first thought was to run to a restaurant for dinner and go to a movie two things I’ve been denied during this horrible time. Especially since I fall into one of the groups who is warned to stay home.

Then when I actually thought about it, I know the world will change, it has too. As Americans, we need to change as well, we need to become more self-reliant. Take care of ourselves and our families first. But know that it won’t be a utopia there will still be levels of people. To think otherwise is not being honest with yourself. It can’t and won’t be all berries and nuts. We’re going to have to work hard to bring it back.

Life is not a free ride if this virus has taught us anything it’s that it isn’t a respecter of persons, it has ravaged our land and people. In this the middle of Holy Week, I’m reflecting on what I have. My family, health, home, and food. I am blessed more than some in the world. I do not believe I am owed anything by anyone other than respect which is free.

I like to use a famous ending “Peace out rabbit!”
